Bombers Win Perry Invite
Ballard Scores 36 Team Points
The women's cross country team won the Perry Invitational on Thursday night in Perry. The Bombers would score 36 teams points and barely edged out ADM who scored 37 team points. Paityn Noe won the race finsihing in a time of 17:43.
Comments From Head Coach Scott Barth:
"We returned to Perry after a short absence from competing there and ran well overall. The girls edged out ADM by 1 point to take the team title. Paityn Noe, Annika Larson, Ava Vance and Ava Richardson all ran their way into the top 10 with solid races. Annika was 3rd, Ava V was 4th and Ava R was 9th. We tried Brynn Wilson in the race today, but she was not quite ready and we had her step out about 1/2 of the way through the race. McKenzie Dee stepped up and preserved the victory with a solid 19th place finish. Raegan Loewe closed out our varsity with a 25th place finish out of 108 runners. We are hoping to get Brynn back into the line up soon as we approach the postseason run. She is a key in getting us back to state and on the podium. I am confident that she will be back soon."
The Bombers are back in action on Thursday - October 6 when they compete in the Fort Dodge Invitational. The meet will feature the junior varsity and varsity and start at 4:30 PM.
