The women's cross country team finished seventh in the ADM Invitational Meet on Monday night at Hillcrest Country Club in Adel.  The Bombers scored 191 team points.  ADM won the meet scoring 45 points.

Gracie Ross paced the Bombers finishing 26th overall in a time of 25:26.8.  Nora Loveland placed 37th running in a time of 26:54.3.  Audrey Zielke's time of 27:19.8 was good enough for a 41st place finish and she was followed by teammate Anya Jorgensen who finished in a time of 27:20.9.  Natalie Kruse (45th - 27:55.5), Sydney Ehresman (47th - 28:08.7), and Amelia Faubus (52nd - 28:36) round out the Bomber's scoring.      

Comments From Head Coach Scott Barth:

"The girls line-up was a bit of a reshuffle with varsity running at Heartland over the weekend. We decided to give the top JV girls the opportunity to run against other varsity teams and they performed admirably. Gracie Ross led the team with a 26th place finish in 25:26. Freshman Nora Loveland pushed her way to a 37th place finish in 26:54. Audrey Zielke and Anya Jorgensen packed it up for the last half of the race to place 41st and 42nd. Natelie Kruse was next in 45th, Sydney Ehresman was next with a 47th place finish and Amelia Faubus closed out our varsity team with a 52nd place finish.

It was fun watching these girls get the chance to compete against our varsity counterparts. They gave it their best effort and beat 3 varsity line-ups and getting really close to 2 more teams in the process. I really appreciated their willingness to step out of their comfort zone and run."

The Bombers are back in action on Friday - September 23 when they compete in the Griak Invite in Minnespolis, MN.  The women will race at 3:45 PM.
