Bombers Win Consolation At Home Tourney
Ballard Goes 3-2 On The Day
The Ballard volleyball team hosted their annual tournament on Saturday, finishing with a 1-2 record in pool play. The Bombers secured a win against Woodward-Granger (21-12, 21-13), but fell in close matches to Nevada (21-19, 17-21, 15-13) and 5th-ranked Pella (21-15, 21-16).
In the consolation bracket, the Bombers, seeded 3rd in Pool A, bounced back with victories over Grand View Christian (21-12, 21-9) and Woodward-Granger (21-12, 21-11) to win the consolation title.
With the tournament behind them, Ballard's season record now stands at 7-8 (2-1). The Bombers return to action on Tuesday, September 24, when they travel to 10th-ranked ADM for Raccoon River Conference play. Freshman and junior varsity matches will begin at 5:30 PM, with varsity to follow at 7:00 PM.
