HUXLEY, IA — The Ballard Bombers volleyball team opened conference play with a tough matchup against the #4-ranked Carlisle Wildcats on Tuesday night. Despite a determined effort, the Bombers were unable to secure a win, falling in straight sets (25-23, 25-20, 25-23) in a closely contested match.

Following the loss, the Bombers now hold a 2-6 (0-1) record for the season.

The Bombers will return to action on Tuesday, September 10, as they travel to Boone for Raccoon River Conference play.  The games are set to begin at 5:30 PM.
