Bombers Have Successful Day #1 Of State Track
Women Lead Class 3A After Day One
The Ballard women's and men's track team had a great start to day #1 of the State Track Meet. The women find themselves on top of the the Class 3A leaderboard thanks in part to Shewaye Johnson. Johnson won the 3,000 meter run finishing in a blazing time of 9:55.37. Paityn Noe finished fourth in the 3,000 meter run with a time of 10:06.57.
The 4x800 relay team (Shewaye Johnson, Caitlin Maher, Kate Huisinga and Josie Fleischmann) finish fifth with a time of 9:50.41. The Bombers scored 19 points.
The Bombers only male participant was Jameson Witt. He finished 13th in the 400 meter run with a time of 51.6. Witt set his own person record with that run.
The Bombers are back in action on Friday - May 21 when the women's distance medley relay runs at 9:00 AM.
