Bombers Survive Late Push to Secure Win
Ballard Defeats Grinnell 4-3
The Ballard women's soccer team earned an exciting non-conference victory Tuesday night, defeating Grinnell 4-3 on their home field to continue building momentum late in the season.
Ballard used a balanced offensive attack with four different goals to edge the Tigers in a back-and-forth contest. Lily Huntrods opened the scoring for the Bombers, while McKenzie Dee delivered a huge performance with two goals. Elizabeth Dolan also found the back of the net to help secure the win.
The Bombers consistently applied pressure offensively throughout the match and capitalized on their opportunities in key moments. Grinnell answered several times to keep the game tight, but Ballard was able to hold on defensively down the stretch to preserve the one-goal victory.
With the win, Ballard improved to 6-5-2 overall and continued to gain confidence as postseason play approaches. The Bombers now sit at 3-3-1 in conference competition while adding another strong non-conference result to their résumé.
