Enyeart Hits Century Mark in Runner-Up Finish at RRC
Ballard Scores 72 Team Points
The Ballard men's wrestling team hosted the Raccoon River Conference Tournament at the Hangar on Saturday, finishing 8th as a team with 72 points. Bondurant-Farrar captured the team title with 235.5 points, followed by Boone (170) and Carlisle (167).
Individually, Ballard had several strong performances. Easton Enyeart (132 lbs) placed 2nd and scored 19 points, highlighted by a victory in the quarterfinal and semifinal by technical fall. His runner-up finish also marked his 100th career win, a major milestone for the junior wrestler. Jayden Leland (165 lbs) also claimed 2nd place, adding 16 points to the team total. Other wrestlers scoring for Ballard included Grayson Hedrick (138 lbs, 4th, 12 pts), Carter Jeffs (150 lbs, 4th, 12 pts), and Landon Askelsen (157 lbs, 6th, 5 pts).
The Ballard team now looks ahead to its next competition: a quad meet at Iowa Falls-Alden on Thursday, February 5, starting at 6:00 PM.
