The Ballard men's wrestling team tested itself against strong competition Saturday at the Rich Gray Men's Wrestling Invitational hosted by Interstate 35, finishing ninth overall in a 21-team field.

Enyeart finished as tournament runner-up after a hard-fought 7–2 decision loss to undefeated Gage Spurgeon of Eddyville-Blakesberg-Fremont, scoring 21.5 team points in the process.
Nolan Adams also had a strong showing at 120 pounds, battling back through the consolation bracket to place fifth. Adams picked up three wins by fall, including victories over Interstate 35's Cain Austin and Chariton's Blaine Brown, and added 12 team points.
Carter Jeffs (150) placed sixth after advancing deep into the consolation rounds. Jeffs opened the tournament with a technical fall and added a pin in the consolation semifinals before dropping a narrow one-point decision in the fifth-place match. Jeffs contributed 10.5 points to the team total.
At 106 pounds, Gabe Rhiner wrestled aggressively, earning two falls on the day and scoring seven team points.
