Bombers Drop Dual to Wildcats in the Hangar
#23 Carlisle Defeats Ballard 58-16
The Ballard men's wrestling team hosted #23 Carlisle on Thursday night in the Hangar for an RRC dual, facing a tough challenge against one of the conference's top-ranked programs. Carlisle earned a 58–16 victory in the dual.
Carlisle jumped out to an early lead with forfeits at 106 and 113 pounds before adding bonus-point wins at 120 and 126. Ballard responded at 132 pounds as Easton Enyeart delivered a strong performance, earning a technical fall to put the Bombers on the board.
Carlisle answered with a fall at 138 and a close decision at 144 to maintain momentum. Ballard picked up another key result at 150 pounds when Carter Jeffs secured a fall, followed by a technical fall from Jayden Leland at 165 to account for Ballard's remaining team points.
Despite the effort, Carlisle closed the dual with multiple falls and technical falls across the upper weights to pull away and seal the win.
With the loss, Ballard moves to 3–16 overall and 2–6 in RRC competition.
The Bombers will be back in action on Saturday, January 24, when they travel to the I-35 Tournament. Wrestling is scheduled to begin at 9:30 AM.
