The Ballard wrestling team placed 2nd in the Cardinal Classic in Newton on Saturday.  The Bombers were runner-ups with 165.5 team points.  Mount Vernon won the tournament finishing with 197 team points. 

The Bombers had four champions on the day: Grayson Hedrick (113 lb), Rhett Hedrick (175 lb), Brody Sampson (190 lb), and Henry Christensen (215 lb).  Easton Enyeart, Aidan Wilson, Tucker Vitzthum, and Daniel Hyman all finished as runner-ups.

The Bombers are back in action on Thursday - December 7 when they travel to Bondurant-Farrar.  The meet will feature the junior varsity and varsity and begin at 5:30 PM.  Boone and Bondurant-Farrar will be the other schools in attendance.
