Strong Showing Leads Bombers to Close Second-Place Finish
Ballard Shoots A 222
WINTERSET — The Ballard women's golf team turned in a strong road performance Monday, narrowly missing out on a triangular victory at Winterset, as just four strokes separated the top three teams.
Winterset edged the field with a 219, followed closely by Ballard at 222, while Carlisle rounded out the competition with a 223 in a tightly packed team race.
The Bombers were in contention throughout the round, maintaining pressure on the leaders and staying within striking distance down the stretch.
With the result, Ballard narrowly finishes second in one of its closest meets of the season.
The Bombers will look to carry that momentum into their next competition on Tuesday, April 28, when they travel to South Hamilton for a meet starting at 4:30 PM.
