The Ballard women's bowling team continued its strong start to the season on the lanes in Ames, earning a convincing 1,998–1,794 victory over Gilbert at Perfect Games. With balanced scoring and steady execution throughout the match, the Bombers remained unbeaten and moved to 6–0 overall and 3–0 in conference play.
Sophomore Kendall Ersland led the way for Ballard with a dominant performance across all scoring categories. Ersland posted a team-best 326 series, highlighted by a high game of 178, and finished with an impressive 163.0 average. Her consistency at the top of the lineup set the tone and provided Ballard with early momentum.
Junior Kylie Chambers delivered another strong outing, rolling a 288 series with a 160 high game and a 144.0 average. Sophomore Afton Holmes added depth in the middle of the lineup with a 240 series and 151 high game, while juniors Addison Hosteng (215 series) and senior Arden McCuddin (211 series) rounded out a well-balanced team effort.
The Bombers will look to keep its unbeaten season intact on Friday, December 19, when the Bombers host Pella Christian in a non-conference matchup at 2:30 PM.
