Ballard Defeats Pella 1920-1797
The Ballard women's bowling team continued its strong start to the season with an impressive road victory over Pella, winning 1920 to 1797 in a matchup held at Cardinal Lanes in Newton. The win moves the Bombers to 2-0 overall.
Junior Kylie Chambers led Ballard with a standout performance, rolling the top series of the day at 286 and posting the high game of 156. Her team-leading 143.00 average set the pace and helped the Bombers maintain control throughout the match.
Sophomore Kendall Ersland added a 275 series with a high game of 146, finishing with a 137.50 average. Senior Arden McCuddin contributed a 264 series, anchored by a strong 153 game.
Juniors Addison Hosteng and sophomore Faith Grundmeyer both turned in 250 series performances. Hosteng rolled a high game of 138, while Grundmeyer posted a high game of 129, and the pair each averaged 125.00 pins per game.
Ballard's balanced and steady scoring across all five bowlers proved to be the difference, allowing the Bombers to secure a 123-pin victory and keep their unbeaten start intact.
The Bombers now turn their attention to conference action. Their next match is Tuesday, November 25 at Carroll at 4:00 PM, marking the beginning of their Heart of the Raccoon Conference schedule.
