Women’s Bowling Opens Season With Strong Home Victory
Ballard Defeats Knoxville 1728-1643
The Ballard varsity women's bowling team started their 2025–26 campaign on a high note Monday afternoon, defeating Knoxville 1,728–1,643 in their season opener at home. Behind consistent scoring and a standout performance from sophomore Kendall Ersland, the Bombers secured their first win of the year and moved to 1–0 on the season.
Ersland set the tone early and never let up, finishing with a team-high 293 total pins, including the match's high game of 166. Junior Kylie Chambers followed with a strong showing of her own, knocking down 254 pins and rolling a 142 for the second-highest game of the day.
Sophomore Zoey Rahner added 217 total pins, while juniors Addison Hosteng (205) and senior Arden McCuddin (201) rounded out a balanced Ballard lineup that kept steady pressure on Knoxville throughout the match.
