NEWTON, IA – The Ballard women's bowling team competed at the State Qualifying Meet in Newton, with standout performances highlighting the event.  Piper Thompson delivered a stellar effort, finishing in the top eight and earning an individual qualification for the State Bowling Tournament.

Thompson's consistency and precision throughout the meet secured her a coveted spot at the state competition, where she will represent Ballard against the best bowlers in the state.

"We are incredibly proud of Piper's performance," said Ballard bowling coach Kyle Howard.  "She has worked hard all season, and this achievement is a testament to her dedication and skill."

Thompson will now shift her focus to the Individual State Bowling Tournament, which will be held at Cadillac Lanes in Waterloo on February 25, starting at 9 AM.
