Bombers Roll Past Eagles
Ballard Defeats Pella Christian 1732-1522
The Ballard Bombers women's bowling team notched an impressive victory over Pella Christian on Wednesday at Statesmen Lanes in Oskaloosa. Ballard delivered a commanding performance, tallying a total score of 1,732 pins to Pella Christian's 1,523.
Bella Pu, a junior from Pella Christian, took top honors in total pins with an outstanding 264. However, the Bombers showcased remarkable depth and consistency, claiming three of the top five spots. Freshman Kendall Ersland led Ballard with 262 pins, followed closely by senior Jenna Onstot with 260. Junior Arden McCuddin rounded out Ballard's top scorers with 231 pins.
In the high-game category, sophomore Macy Van Der Hart from Pella Christian recorded the highest single-game score of 150. Ballard's Ersland and Onstot kept the Bombers competitive in this category, posting scores of 143 and 142, respectively.
With the win, the Bombers advance to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play this season.
The Bombers return to action on Friday, December 13, when they host Sigourney at 2:30 PM at Perfect Games.
