Oh What A Feeling.....Bombers Punch Their Ticket
Ballard Defeats Mason City 58-45
The Ballard women's basketball team fended off #12 Mason City to notch their ticket to the state basketball tournament with a 58-45 regional final win in Huxley on Tuesday night. After trailing the Mohawks early in the third quarter 35-28, the Bombers would use a 30-10 run to finish the game and secure the victory/
Molly Ihle led the Bombers with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Brooke Loewe added 12 points and had 3 assists. Josie Fleischmann added 8 points for the Bombers who are headed to the state tournament for the first time since 2016.
With the win, the Bombers improve to 22-1 (14-0) on the season.
The Bombers are back in action on Tuesday, March 3 when they play #7 Lewis Central at the state basketball tournament in Des Moines. The game will tip off at 5:00 PM.
