Defense Lifts Bombers Past Tigers
Ballard Defeats Carroll 36-25
The women's basketball team used stingy defense to shut down Carroll on Tuesday night in a battle of unbeatens in the Raccoon River Conference. The Bombers would limit the Tigers to single digit quarters and hold the Tiger's leading scorer to 3 points in their 36-25 win.
Josie Fleischmann led the Bombers hitting four 3-pointers and finishing with 12 points. Meg Rietz came off the bench and added 10 points and had four steals. Molly Ihle finished with seven points and had six assists and six steals
With the win, the Bombers improve to 10-1 (5-0) on the season.
The Bombers are back in action on Thursday, January 16 when they travel to Winterset for a Raccoon River Conference match-up. The women will tip off at 6:00 PM
