Stingy Defense Leads Bombers To Victory Over Comets
Ballard Defeats North Polk 48-38
The women's basketball team used strong defensive play and held North Polk to 25% from the field in a 48-38 victory over the Comets on Friday night. The Bombers would take a slim 2-point lead into the fourth quarter and limit the Comets to 4 points to stretch the lead and come away with the victory.
The Bombers were led by Molly Ihle who scored 13 points and had 9 rebounds on the night. Meg Rietz, Brooke Loewe, and Josie Fleischmann all scored 8 points a piece and Maggie Larson chipped in four.
With the win, the Bombers improve to 7-1 (3-0) on the season.
The Bombers are back in action on Saturday, January 4 when they host Nevada in a non-conference match-up. The women will tip off at 3:30 PM.
