Bombers Turn Up Heat In Third Quarter, Defeat Dutch
Ballard Defeats Pella 63-34
The women's basketball team used a strong third quarter to open up the lead against Pella on Tuesday night en route to a 63-34 victory over the Dutch in non-conference action. The Bombers would hold a 24-20 lead at halftime but in the third quarter would stretch that lead and outscore the Dutch 29-6 to increase the lead to 27. The Bombers would maintain that lead for the remainder of the game.
Josie Fleischmann led all scorers with 17 points. Maggie Larson added 12 points and Brooke Loewe scored 11 points and had 5 rebounds, 5 steals, and 5 assists. Molly Ihle finished with 9 points and had 5 assists.
With the win, the Bombers improve to 3-1 (1-0) on the season.
The Bombers are back in action on Friday, December 13 when they travel to Boone in a Raccoon River Conference match-up. The women will tip off at 6:00 PM.
