Three Named To All-State Team
Vetter, Husak, and Baumgardner Named
The Ballard softball team had three members named to the All-State Softball Team. Ella Husak, Sam Vetter, and Brooklyn Baumgardner were named to the team. The ladies were selected to the team by the Iowa Girl's Coaches Association.
Husak led the Bombers batting .505 and had 53 hits on the season. She also had 25 stolen bases which led the Bombers.
Catcher Sam Vetter batted .398 and drove in 27 for the Bombers. She led the Bombers in doubles with 10 and scored 26 runs.
Pitcher Brooklyn Baumgarnder finished the season 11-12. She had 90 strike outs on the season and gave up 134 hits in 129.2 innings of work. Baumgardner batted .255 with 14 RBI for the Bombers who qualified for the state softball tournament, the first time since 2017.
