Bombers Finish 4th At Loaded RRC Meet

The Ballard Men's track team showcased their talent and determination at the recent RRC Meet hosted by Carlisle on Wednesday night, leaving a trail of impressive performances and personal bests in their wake.
One of the standout achievements of the night was the setting of six personal records (PRs), demonstrating the team's dedication to continuous improvement. Additionally, four athletes achieved season-best times, highlighting their peak form and readiness for competition.
In the field events, Parker Miller soared to second place in the high jump, clearing an impressive 6-0. This achievement underscored his skill and determination on the field.
On the track, Graden Hermann delivered stellar performances in both the 3200 and 1600-meter races, clocking in at 11:11.04 and 5:03.45 respectively, setting a new personal record in the process.
The Shuttle Hurdle team, comprised of Stetson Kane, Chase Ihle, Kiir Wol, and Curtis Hinzman, secured third place with a season-best time of 1:03.55, showcasing their coordination and speed over the hurdles.
The 400-meter race witnessed a remarkable display of talent from Chance Lande and Jameson Witt, who clinched first and second place with impressive times of 50.38 and 50.86, respectively, highlighting their speed and endurance on the track.
Dillon Shoen demonstrated a significant improvement in the 800-meter race, achieving a personal record by shaving off six seconds, finishing with a time of 2:08.45, showcasing his dedication to continuous improvement.
Stetson Kane continued to shine in the hurdles, securing second place in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.18, also setting a new personal record in the event.
Overall, the team's collective efforts resulted in a commendable fourth-place finish with 84.5 points, showcasing their depth and talent across various events.
The Bombers will be back in action on Thursday, May 9, as they participate in the State Qualifying Meet at North Polk. The meet is scheduled to commence at 4:00 PM.

"Last night, the Raccoon River Conference proved that this is the toughest track conference in Iowa. We were able to set 6 PR's and 4 season best times, and we had a solid 4th place finish. All of our athletes competed against tough competition, and our individual and team efforts were outstanding.
