Ballard Invitational Sees Bombers Clinch 5th Place

The Ballard men's track team competed in the Ballard Invitational on Thursday night in Huxley.  The Bombers would finish fifth overall scoring 77 team points.

The distance medley team (Eli Rouse, Sidnee Farmer, Jakson Fleischmann, Chance Lande) finished 1st running in a time of 3:51.15.  The shuttle hurdle relay team of Stetson Kane, Curtis Hinzman, Aidan Wilson, and Chase Ihle finished first running in a time of 1:06.51.  

Comments From Men's Head Coach Darren Herrold:

"The coaches are very pleased with our results from Thursday's meet.  Our distance medley placed 1st and our sprint medley was 2nd.  Both of these relays were put together at practice Wednesday, so we are happy with their results.  Everyone competed well, and we have a lot of great times established now that we can build upon.  We did not have Jameson Witt due to an injury, but he has now been cleared for practice and competition.  His presence will add to team and will help all of our events.  We have quite a few freshmen, and having their first varsity meet done will ease quite a bit of their anxiety.  This is a great group of young men to coach, and we look forward to their improvements as the season progresses."
 

The Bombers are back in action on Tuesday - April 2 when they compete in the Gilbert Invitational.  The meet will start at 4:30 PM.
