The Ballard men's track team had a great start to the Iowa State Track Meet on Thursday afternoon

The Bombers kicked off the meet in the 4x800 M relay.  The relay team of Trent Payne, Jameson Witt, Jaxson Fleischmann, and Chance Lande finished 3rd running in a time of 8:06.16.  Their time broke the school record by over 13 seconds.

Lande and Witt also participated in the 400 M run.  Lande finished 8th running in a time of 50.55 and Witt finished 12th running in a time of 51.01, his season's best.

The Bombers have 7 team points and are tied for 13th place.  Pella leads the meet after Day #1 with 27 team points.  

The Bombers are back in action on Friday - May 19 at 9:00 AM for Day #2 of the State Track Meet.
