Bombers Have Six Punch Ticket To State

The Ballard men's track team finished fifth at the State Qualifying Meet hosted by Carroll on Thursday night. The Bombers scored 89 team points good for a fifth place finish. Lewis Central won the meet with 141 team points. The Bombers had six qualifiers for the state meet.
The Bombers landed three individual contestants. Chase Ihle qualified in the long jump and Chance Lance and Jameson Witt qualified in the 400 M run.
On the relay side of things, the sprint medley team of Jayden Swain, Jaden Peasley, Eli Rouse, and Chance Lande qualified. So did the 4x400 M relay (Witt, Jakson Fleischmann, Eli Rouse, Lande) and the 4x800 M relay (Trent Payne, Witt, Fleischmann, Lande)
The Bombers are back in action on Thursday - May 18 when they compete at the State Meet in Des Moines. The meet will start at 9:00 AM.
