Bombers Show Improvement At Cub Relays
Ballard Scores 92 Team Points
The Ballard men's track team competed in the Cub Relays in Nevada on Thursday evening. The Bombers would finish 4th overall scoring 92 team points.
The sprint medley team of Jayden Swain, Jayden Peasley, Eli Rouse, and Chance Lande won the race and ran their best time of the year. Senior Jayden Swain claimed first in the long jump with a personal record of 20'2.5".
The 4x800 relay team of Trent Payne, Jakson Fleischmann, Jameson Witt, and Chance Lande ran their fastest time of the year by 33 seconds, and set the school record running in a time of 8:30.36. Chance Lande ran the 400M run and finished first with a time of 51.15.
The Bombers are back in action on Monday - April 10 when they compete at the Carroll Invitational. The meet will start at 4:30 PM.

"Our Ballard men's track team had an outstanding meet Thursday evening in Nevada. Several of our athletes are battling injuries, and Coach Hokel and I are pleased that other team members are stepping in where needed. As a team, we continue to grow and improve every meet. The sprint medley team of Jayden Swain, Jayden Peasley, Eli Rouse, and Chance Lande earned first and ran their best time of the year. Senior Jayden Swain claimed first in the long jump with a PR of 20'2.5". Our 4x800 team of Trent Payne, Jakson Fleischmann, Jameson Witt, and Chance Lande ran their fastest time of the year by 33 seconds, and also shattered the school record with a time of 8:30.36. Chance Lande also ran the open 400 for the first time, and earned first with a time of 51.15. Our athletes are continually pushing each other and making the team improve daily. The Nevada meet had excellent competition, and our athletes rose to the challenge."
