In nonconference action at home, the Ballard men's soccer team earned a solid 2-0 victory over Newton, securing a clean sheet and a much-needed result.

After a scoreless first half, Ballard broke through in the second half with two goals to take control of the match. The defense held strong throughout, limiting Newton's chances and preserving the shutout from start to finish.

With the win, Ballard improves to 1-4-0 on the season (0-1-0 in conference play).
