Men's Golf Claims Victory at Nevada Invitational
Ballard Shoots A 336
NEVADA, IA – Under overcast skies and occasional drizzle, the Ballard boys golf team powered through the elements to capture first place at the Nevada Invitational on Friday. The Bombers posted a team score of 336, edging out host Nevada (342), West Marshall (389), and Grandview Christian (410) in a competitive early-season test.
Leading the way for Ballard was Parker Domino, who carded an 80 to earn runner-up honors individually. Domino's steady performance helped anchor the Bombers on a day when every stroke mattered.
Strong rounds from Jamin Colvin (83), Brenden Wright (86), and Lincoln Miller (87) rounded out Ballard's team scoring, while Riley Dingel (94) and Mason Gatchel (101) added valuable experience in the varsity lineup.
Nevada's Parker Rodgers took medalist honors with an impressive round of 71, despite the challenging weather conditions.
The Ballard squad showed solid depth across the lineup, as all scorers contributed to the narrow team win over a strong Nevada group.
Up next for the Bombers: Ballard returns to action on Monday, April 14, when they host Boone and Carroll at 4:00 PM at the Ballard Golf and Country Club.
