Creston, Iowa - The Ballard varsity men's golf team delivered a stellar performance at the Sectional Meet hosted at Crestmoor Golf Course in Creston, clinching a remarkable second-place finish and earning a well-deserved ticket to the upcoming District Meet in Atlantic on Monday, May 13.
Individual performances were key to Ballard's success, with players like Mason Gatchel, Brenden Wright, Brady Kruger, Riley Dingel, Lincoln Miller, and Parker Domino demonstrating their prowess on the green. Their consistent play and strategic decision-making contributed significantly to the team's overall performance.
Mason Gatchel showcased his talent with a solid round, carding a score of 82, while Brenden Wright and Brady Kruger delivered impressive scores of 87 and 77, respectively. Riley Dingel and Lincoln Miller contributed scores of 81 and 87, showcasing the team's depth and strength across the board. Parker Domino's consistent play added to the team's success with a score of 85.
The team's collective effort resulted in a total team score of 325, securing their second-place finish behind Knoxville, who led the pack with a score of 314.
The Bombers will resume their competitive journey as they head to Atlantic for the District Meet. The meet is scheduled to commence at 10:00 AM.
