The Ballard men's bowling team secured a hard-fought victory over Norwalk at Perfect Games in Ames on Friday night, winning by a final score of 2,603 to 2,520 in a Two Rivers Conference matchup.
Despite a strong individual performance by Norwalk's Blake Halsted, who posted a high total of 412 pins and a high game of 234, the Bombers' team depth helped propel them to the win. Ballard's junior Stetson Kane led the way for the Bombers with a total of 375 pins and a high game of 192. Senior Brenden Wright also made significant contributions, finishing with 362 total pins, while junior Braden Skurdal posted a strong high game of 215.
Norwalk's Tanner Housley (383 total pins, 199 high game) and sophomore Brytan Bassman (368 total pins) kept the match competitive, but the Bombers' balanced scoring throughout the team proved to be the difference maker.
Ballard's impressive team effort also saw strong performances from sophomore Carter Sparks, who finished with 191 in his high game, contributing to the overall success.
With the victory, the Bombers improve to 6-3 overall and 6-2 in the Two Rivers Conference.
