Bombers Dominate Eagles
Ballard Defeats Pella Christian 2629-2051
The Ballard men's bowling team delivered a powerful performance against Pella Christian on Wednesday at Statesmen Lanes in Oskaloosa, rolling to a decisive victory with a total score of 2,629 pins to 2,051. With the win, the Bombers improve to 2-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play.
Junior Stetson Kane led the charge for the Bombers, finishing with a stellar 401 total pins, including a high game of 215. Fellow junior Gage Tapp followed with 370 total pins and a high game of 200. Junior Braden Skurdal added 334 pins to the team total, while sophomore Kyler Johnson chipped in 307. Pella Christian's top bowler, senior Logan Nunnikhoven, rounded out the top five scorers with 305 pins and a high game of 158.
The Bombers dominated the high-game leaderboard, with Kane's 215 and Tapp's 200 leading the way. Skurdal and senior Brenden Wright also made strong contributions with games of 175 and 165, respectively.
The Bombers will look to extend their winning streak when they host Sigourney on Friday, December 13, at 2:30 PM at Perfect Games.
