Top-Ranked Bombers Edged by #4 Tigers
#4 ADM Defeats #1 Ballard 62-57
In a matchup of top-ranked teams, the #1 Ballard Bombers came up just short against the #4 ADM Tigers on Friday night, falling 62-57 in a closely contested game.
The game featured lead changes and clutch moments, with both teams trading baskets throughout. Ballard held a narrow edge early, leading 13-10 after the first quarter, but ADM answered in the second, outscoring the Bombers 16-12 to take a slim halftime lead. The third quarter remained tight, with ADM holding a 41-36 advantage entering the final frame.
Junior Evan Abbott led Ballard offensively, scoring 24 points on 50% shooting from the field and 45.5% from three, adding 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Senior Jude Gibson added 13 points and 5 rebounds, while Parker Miller contributed 7 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Despite the strong individual performances, Ballard was unable to contain ADM down the stretch as the Tigers matched the Bombers point for point in the fourth quarter.
Ballard's record now stands at 14-1 overall and 11-1 in conference play. The Bombers will look to rebound on Tuesday, February 3, when they travel to Gilbert for a 7:30 PM tipoff.
