Ballard Defeats Winterset 76-40
The Ballard men's basketball team delivered another dominant performance Tuesday night in the Hangar, defeating Winterset 76–40 to remain unbeaten on the season and in Raccoon River Conference play.
Ballard set the tone early, exploding for 25 points in the opening quarter while holding Winterset to 10. The Bombers' fast start carried into the second quarter, where they added 14 more points to take a commanding 39–23 lead into halftime.
Any hopes of a Winterset comeback were quickly erased after the break. Ballard matched its first-quarter output with another 25-point third quarter, stretching the lead even further while limiting the Huskies to just eight points. The Bombers maintained control throughout the fourth quarter, closing out the game with a 12–9 scoring edge.
With the win, Ballard improves to 10–0 overall and 8–0 in Raccoon River Conference action.
The Bombers return to the Hangar on Friday, January 16, when they host RRC opponent Bondurant-Farrar. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 PM.
