Bombers Clamp Down, Hold Tigers to 33 in Home Win
Ballard Defeats ADM 54-33
The Ballard men's basketball team continued its strong start to the season Friday night, earning a convincing 54–33 win over ADM in the Hangar to remain undefeated.
Ballard set the tone early, taking a 14–13 lead after the first quarter before creating separation in the second. The Bombers outscored ADM 13–9 in the period to take a 27–22 advantage into halftime. Defensive pressure and disciplined execution defined the second half, as Ballard held ADM to just 11 total points over the final two quarters. A dominant 18–5 fourth quarter sealed the win.
Offensively, Ballard showed balance throughout the lineup. Evan Abbott led the Bombers with 12 points, knocking down two three-pointers and finishing a perfect 2-for-2 at the free-throw line. Easton Ersland added 12 points on efficient shooting while also contributing two blocks on the defensive end. Jude Gibson chipped in 12 points of his own while filling the stat sheet with five assists and four steals.
Parker Miller provided a strong all-around performance with 9 points, six rebounds, three assists, three steals, and a block. Bryce Miller and Mojoe Nybong each added key minutes, while Max Wilson connected on a three-pointer to round out the scoring. As a team, Ballard shot 42 percent from the field and held ADM to just five points in the final quarter.
With the victory, Ballard improves to 6–0 overall and 5–0 in Raccoon River Conference play.
The Bombers return to the Hangar on Friday, January 2, hosting conference opponent Gilbert at 2:30 PM.
