Balanced Attack Lifts Bombers Past Wildcats
Ballard Defeats Carlisle 83-58
The Ballard's men's basketball team continued its strong start to the season Tuesday night with an impressive 83–58 victory over Carlisle.
The Bombers set the tone early, building a 20–5 advantage after the first quarter. Carlisle responded in the second, but Ballard maintained control and took a 41–25 lead into halftime. Ballard's consistency on both ends of the floor showed throughout the night, as they outscored Carlisle in every quarter, including a 22–19 edge in the third and a 20–14 finish in the fourth.
Evan Abbott led all scorers with a game-high 31 points, shooting 10-for-16 from the field and adding eight free throws. Jude Gibson posted a strong all-around performance with 21 points and nine rebounds, while Parker Miller added 11 points, five assists, and three blocks. Ballard shot 49.2 percent from the field as a team and knocked down nine three-pointers in the win.
With the victory, Ballard improves to 5–0 overall and 4–0 in conference play.
The Bombers will return to action on Friday, December 19, when they host ADM in a Raccoon River Conference matchup at 7:30 PM, their final game before winter break.
