#4 Ballard Defeats Williamsburg 60-55
Coralville, IA – The #4-ranked Ballard men's basketball team continued their impressive season with a hard-fought 60-55 victory over Williamsburg at Xtream Arena on Monday night. With the win, Ballard improves to 16-1 overall and 14-1 in conference play.
The game was a back-and-forth battle early, as both teams finished the first quarter tied at 11. Williamsburg took a slight edge heading into halftime, outscoring Ballard 15-13 in the second quarter to hold a 26-24 lead at the break.
However, the Bombers turned up the intensity in the second half. A strong third quarter, where they outscored the Raiders 19-13, gave Ballard the momentum heading into the final frame. The Bombers sealed the win with a 17-point fourth quarter, fending off Williamsburg's late push.
Up next, the Bombers will travel to Des Moines Hoover on Tuesday, February 11, for a 6:15 PM matchup.
