Bombers Pitch Second Straight Shutout, Defeat Trojans
Ballard Defeats Atlantic 48-0
The Ballard football team pitched their second consecutive shutout in their 48-0 blanking of Atlantic on Friday night at Richard Strouse Field. The Bombers would force three Trojans turnovers including a fumble recovery by Beau Warg and two interceptions of Atlantic's Caden Andersen by Colby Calvert and Blake Stover. Nich Wacha led the Bombers with eight tackles on the night. The Bombers held Atlantic to 61 total yards on the night.
Ashton Hermann was the Bomber's swiss army knife cutting up the Trojan's through the air and on the ground. Hermann was 9 of 18 passing for 186 yards and had three touchdowns passes on the night. Hermann rushed the ball 10 times for 140 yards and had two rushing touchdowns.
Jayden Cattell, Jacob Ihle, and Eli Rouse combined for nine catches for 186 yards and each having a receiving touchdown. Gabriel Christensen had 19 carries for 85 yards and a touchdown.
With the win, the Bombers improve to 2-2 (0-0) on the season.
The Bombers are back in action on Friday - September 24 when they open up district play at Humboldt. The game will start at 7:00 PM.
